Earth from space, satellite spinning, global outlook.

Once upon a time we could see something coming for the satellite. So when it got closer to the satellite we could see  it. When we saw it was rock then the rock is coming for the satellite really slowly. Then the rock smashed into the earth. Then the earth was shaking. Soon the rock flied out and flied away to Island. soon when it got to the Island it smashed into the ground. When it smashed into the ground the ground started to crack the ground was cracking for a few minutes and the it stopped. When it stopped we could see a big hole on the ground. So we all coved the hole with full rocks.

How to be a good Pt Englander

To be a good Pt Englander you will have to be respectful to young kids

and be polite to the teachers. And being cybersmart means doing the right thing. I think this is important because it will help you do the right thing instead of doing the wrong thing.

Being a good Pt Englander is almost being respectful. Being respectful to young kids you will have to respect them and treat them nicely. An example when little kids are copying you will need to show them that you will be good Pt Englander because if you're doing something wrong they will copy you and they will do something wrong too.

Being polite to the teachers you have to show them that you will be polite to them like for an example if the teacher is asking a question you always put your hand up.

Being cybersmart means doing the right thing. I think this is important because it will help you do the right thing instead of doing the wrong thing.

My Holiday Highlight

My Holiday Highlight

Last Sunday morning we all woke up and we went to have breakfast  then my Mum said early in the morning when it was still night time and we were still sleeping at 2:00am all the power turned off in Glen Innes all the up to penrose and other places there power turned off because there was a problem.

There was a fire at penrose petrol station, we knew because  it came up on the news  in the morning. So early in the morning my Mum lighted a big candle and and put in the  hallway. Then she got a torch and put in my room so I can see probaly. So in the middle of the power turned off we all went to church and when we came back our power came back on. We were so excited to have the power back on. So after we finish eating we went to my aunty house to drop my aunty off and stayed for a little bit then when we came back to other aunty house on flander street in G.I it so dark when got to my aunty house we had to keep lights on our van.

After that my cousins ran to the van because they were scared because it really dark so went my house and we all slept their.

Use your brain means listen to your voice in your brain.

For an example if you’re on your chromebook and you were playing games and not doing the right thing then you'll need to use your brain probaly and do your work instead of doing dodge stuffs.

Use my heart means think about what you're doing and if you feel it wrong then don’t do it.

Culture is where you come from. Cultures have different languages, food, songs and dances. My culture is Tongan. We like to drink coconut milk.

Different countries have different cultures. In Japan the old people wear kimonos, put flowers in vases and drink tea.

What is netball?

Netball is a game with seven players in each team. Two teams play against each other. In netball you pass the ball without moving your feet.In netball you only can move your hands to pass the ball or to shoot the ball in.

What equipment do you need?

The equipment that you will need is a netball ball,bibs with letters for positions on, court to play on, 2 goal posts, a whistle for the umpire Netball uniforms,

What are the rules?

The rules a no stepping, no bouncing the ball, no running with the ball, you cannot snatch or hit the ball out of a players hands, When defending the ball, you must stand 3 feet away from the person with the ball, players cannot hold the ball for more than 3 seconds, They have 3 seconds to stand outside of the court at the line where it went out and pass the ball.

This morning we had an important assembly to remember the people who served us in the WW1 and we played Bugle-The Last Post.Mrs Flavell had put the flag half way down the pole.I felt sad and was just about to cry during the song.

I have been searching about WW1 and found out these facts and that WW1 happened 100 years ago.The Britain motor vehicles were turned into ambulances.

The Commonwealth  Games or the friendly games were very special. The first game was held in 1930 in Canada. 11 Countries took 400 athletes to do different sport. The Commonwealth Games are always played every 4 years.

The Commonwealth Games have been changed a lot even their name has been changed. From 1930 to 1950 it was could British Empire Game. From 1954 to 1966 they were could British and Commonwealth Games. Later from 1970 to 1974 they were could the Commonwealth Games.

Holiday Highlight

Holiday Highlight

Last Monday morning at Pt England School hall we had assembly.  It was a special assembly because it was the first day back after the school holidays. In the assembly

we were told to do a quiz and the quiz was that we had to guess where was Mr Burt

in the holidays.

I didn’t do the quiz because I forgot to. The people who did well got an ice block and and had take selfies for another competition.

We are doing competitions because the Commonwealth Games are on.

I like the competitions.

My Running Pace

Whaling

In Iceland people hunt Whales for meat,oil and also bones. When they finished cutting the Whale meat they put it in the 6 containers to take it from Iceland to Germany and then take it from Germany to Japan.

When people went whaling some people think that they should stop whaling because there will be none left.

Boat buoyancy

I drew a design of my boat and then made it out of foil. I put it in the water to see if it would float. I checked to see how many marbles could go in it to see if it still floats. With 100 marbles it still floated until water got in.

My Sister Victoria

I have a Sister called Victoria, she is my oldest sister. She is 24 years old and  She works at the sky city. I like my Sister because she is really kind and caring. Then when its the holidays she always takes me out to Mission bay for a swim in the fountains with my cousins ,Aunty and my second oldest Sister.

Swimming lessons

What Makes an Effective Paragraph?

When I go to rinse myself in the shower I rinse my body to get the germs off my hair and my body. When we get out of the shower we get cold and we start shivering and shaking. We can’t wait to swim in the pool!

On the last day of swimming we had relay races to see how fast we can swim. On the final day we went to our groups in sharks, whales, and dolphins. It was exhausting when we were doing relay races.

I love swimming! This term I had 8 lessons with some amazing instructors. They taught me lots of skill, and my technique is getting better and better.

Thanks Mr Burt for paying for professional coaches to teach us.
